We are looking to recruit a Cemetery Driver Operative to join our Green spaces Team.

Your main role as part of the Cemetery Driver Operative within the Green spaces Service will be required to support the interment process; facilitating the excavation, burial & back-filling of burial plots in addition to covering other day-to-day tasks associated with the service area

Follow Grave Digging Instructions (GDI’s) precisely to identify correct plots and work in a time sensitive manner.

You will be needed to drive & operate a range of vehicles, small plant, machinery and hand tools to complete your duties, always working in accordance with relevant legislation, council policies, procedures, RAMS & Tool Box Talks

You will need to be able to perform safely, proactively and accurately to provide optimum value for our customers

You will be required to operate in an outdoor area all year round to demonstrate the physical demands of the function

To be considered for this employment you will need a full UK driving licence (category

B) and awareness of the health and safety regulations for the job. You will require the ability to operate within a team and have good verbal and written communication abilities.

The service employs a 3 person rota for weekend standby arrangements and you will need to commit to this 1 in 4/5 weekends to be considered for the role. A further daily payment of £44.67 will be provided for days on standby plus any necessary overtime payment.
