Join team as a Transport Administrator in Bootle. Are you an organised administrator who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment? Do you enjoy keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring everything is in the right place at the right time?
We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join the transport team in Bootle. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced transport and logistics professionals who are passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting a busy operational team.
Working closely with transport managers, drivers, and operational colleagues, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the transport operation.
What You'll Be Doing- Supporting transport managers with accurate and timely driver briefings and debriefings to DHL standards
- Preparing, checking, and reconciling delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
- Monitoring vehicle routes and driver schedules through Microlise, escalating issues where necessary
- Providing administrative and operational support to the wider transport team
- Maintaining accurate transport records and documentation
- Producing Tachomaster administration and compliance reports
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and Health & Safety requirements
- Identifying and reporting operational concerns or compliance issues promptly
- Previous experience within a transport, logistics, or distribution environment (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy levels
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using transport systems would be an advantage:
- Microlise
- Tachomaster
- Paragon (desirable)
- Understanding of the below would be an advantage:
- Driver Hours Regulations
- Working Time Directive (WTD)
- Transport compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
