Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Office Manager to join an established and growing business based in Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
This is a key position within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the internal Sales Administration and Customer Service function, while also providing support to the wider sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the team, ensuring a high level of customer service, overseeing sales order processing and identifying opportunities to improve processes and support continued sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and support the Sales Administration and Customer Service team.
* Manage individual performance, training and development within the team.
* Oversee sales order processing and ensure customer requirements are dealt with accurately and within agreed timescales.
* Ensure the team consistently delivers a high standard of customer service.
* Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
* Monitor enquiries, follow-up activity and conversions.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and sales performance.
* Provide support to the wider sales team and maintain effective communication across departments.
* Liaise with internal departments including Finance, Operations and Logistics.
* Support marketing initiatives and ensure agreed activities are followed through.
* Produce regular reports and updates on departmental performance.
* Ensure customer records, enquiries and follow-up actions are accurately recorded.
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training where required.
* Deal with customer queries and provide support where required.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the requirements of the role.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Sales Office Manager, Sales Administration Manager, Customer Service Manager or similar role, with proven experience of managing a team.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience managing a sales administration or customer service team.
* Proven leadership and people management experience.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive and forward-thinking approach.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Experience using CRM systems.
* Previous experience using Sage 200 is essential.
* The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy environment.
* A commercial mindset with an interest in improving processes and supporting business growth.
