I’m supporting a well‑known, long‑established organisation with a strong brand presence that is continuing to invest in its procurement function. They are looking to hire a Junior Procurement Manager to support and develop indirect category management activity across the business.

This is a genuine development role. The business is open‑minded on background as long as the candidate has strategic procurement exposure. It is far more focused on attitude, tenacity, and cultural fit than having a perfect CV. A lot can be taught, and there is a structured development programme in place to support progression.

Working as part of a collaborative procurement team, you will support and gradually take ownership of indirect procurement activity, partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting general indirect category management activity across categories such as HR, Professional Services & Technology
• Running RFQs and RFPs and supporting negotiations
• Managing supplier relationships and contract lifecycle activity
• Working with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide commercial support
• Using the ERP platform to manage procurement activity and data

This role is ideal for someone looking to take a clear step into procurement or step up within an indirects role, with the ambition to develop into a well‑rounded category professional.

They are keen to speak with candidates who bring:

• 3‑4+ years in procurement, sourcing, or a commercial function
• Exposure to indirect spend categories (ideal)
• A proactive, tenacious mindset and strong team fit
• Willingness to learn systems and processes such as Oracle Fusion ERP
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
