Senior Test Development Engineer – Glenrothes, Fife / Livingston, Scotland

• Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
• Lead and support hardware‑software integration and troubleshooting
• Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions
• Lead design reviews and maintain documentation to the highest standards
• Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers

• Design of product test development hardware
• Creation of wiring schedules
• System interface design
• Proficiency with NI Lab View/Teststand
• Ability to produce comprehensive technical design documentation
• Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills
• Support and debugging of system integration
• Eligibility for a minimum of BPSS security clearance

• Significant test‑development experience in industry
• Understanding of common test architectures (PXI/LXI)
• Knowledge of measurement uncertainty in test equipment design and validation
• Software knowledge: NI Lab View, CVI & Test Stand, C#
