Senior Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative solutions for new products or processes and contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity and investments, including infrastructure improvement, expansion proposals, and integration of new products, technologies, and equipment.

  • Support the development of new projects, technologies, or business opportunities.

  • Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify improvement opportunities using Industrial Engineering tools, techniques, and methods.

  • Determine equipment, facilities, and support requirements for new products, equipment, or processes.

  • Create detailed factory and line layouts in AutoCAD and support planning, costing, and implementation of new or changed areas.

  • Optimize assembly lines through workflow analysis, time and motion studies, ergonomics, and human‑factors analysis.

  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and information to support projects.

  • Provide analysis of current or future requirements using simulation tools, value stream mapping, data analysis, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design groups to ensure product producibility and effective transition to manufacture.

  • Estimate labour for electronic, cable, or mechanical assemblies.

  • Contribute to factory safety and work‑cell ergonomics.

Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in an engineering science (Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • PC literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).

  • Proficient use of AutoCAD and/or simulation modelling tools.

  • Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills (SPC, modelling, queuing theory, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).

  • Ability to represent Raytheon at all levels for internal and external customers.

  • Deep understanding of key cost drivers in the set‑up, development, or support of projects, products, and manufacturing processes.

Desirable
  • Extensive Industrial Engineering experience and mastery of tools, techniques, and methods.

  • Experience developing new processes, areas, or expansions including planning, costing, and implementation.

  • Rapid creation of detailed information and effective presentation at customer and management levels.

  • Knowledge of SMT, units, box build, site facilitation, supply chain requirements, and material handling.

  • Leadership or mentoring experience for other engineers or projects.

  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as Witness or similar.
