A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Level 3 qualified Mechanical Fitter with a background in rolling stock to join an organisation responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of passenger trains

Your New Opportunity

Join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining passenger trains

Carry out mechanical maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks on train interiors including HVAC systems, passenger information systems
Diagnose, investigate, and repair faults across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
Use written maintenance instructions (VMI) and engineering drawings to complete examinations, inspections, and routine servicing.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring experience, precision, and a strong maintenance mindset. We’re looking for someone with:

Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter within the Rolling Stock, PSV or HGV’s is essential
A background from sectors such as REME (ex-forces), HGV, bus/coach fleets, aviation, large machinery, or ideally locomotives/rolling stock.

Essential Criteria

Proven maintenance and fault-finding experience within public transport or plant or Rolling stock.
Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Full UK driving licence.
Must be willing to travel for training and development
