Financial Accountant

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a global firm in their search for a Financial Accountant to join the business. This role is wide-ranging, taking in elements of financial and technical accounting, management accounting and business partnering. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant either from practice or industry but with a strong understanding of accounting standards as well as a competent business partner.

• Manage the end to end financials across a number of legal entities
• Analyse trends and variances in the profit and loss account and balance sheet
• Conduct review and approval tasks at month-end, including complex journal entries and reconciliations of the balance sheet
• Examine general ledger activity, investigate and rectify any account discrepancies
• Conduct in-depth analyses of the balance sheet and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely financial reporting for the EMEA region.
• Run monthly business reviews with stakeholders
• Be an effective business partner with stakeholders both internal and external to the business
• Support with various continuous improvement projects

The successful candidate will likely be a fully qualified accountant with experience in practice or industry with an understanding of financial and management accounting principles. Experience in a similar role would be highly beneficial but not absolutely essential. The role will have a significant business partnering element so strong skills in this area are essential, being able to effectively communicate with senior leaders.
