Band 5 Adult Learning Disabilities Community Living Team Leader

Applications are invited from dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals or Social Workers to join the Adult Learning Disabilities Community Living service as Band 5 Team Leader on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
Reporting to the Band 6 Deputy Manager, you provide and oversee the care and support for Service Users with complex Learning Disabilities in their own homes and in the community, leading and motivating the Band 3 and Band 4 Support Workers in your team.
The service users have a variety of both physical and psychological needs, and require assistance with daily living tasks, and to access the wider community.

Guernsey provides a comprehensive and high quality Health and Social Care service to Adults with Learning Disabilities over 18 across the island.
Please note;
Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Band 5 salary range is 36,900 to 47,590 plus an annual bonus of 1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.

• Registered Nurse, AHP or Social Worker with appropriate UK statutory professional registration as applicable.
• Current or recent experience supporting people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism including newly or soon-to-qualify Learning Disabilities Nurses looking to start their post-registration career.
• Current clean driving licence.
• Personal Qualities to include:
  Reliability, Honesty, Patience, Resilience, Motivation and Leadership skills.

• A higher-than-UK salary.
• An annual bonus of 1,605.
• Registered Nurse applicants will receive an additional 3,000 bonus on completion of two, then four years service.
• A flat rate 20% income tax.
• No Council tax or VAT.
