IAM Platform Manager

Role/Team overview

Our Cyber Security team safeguards Sky’s products, platforms and services against evolving cyber‑attacks. The team, which includes the Cyber Fusion Centre, Security Services, Risk and Compliance, Programme Delivery and Business Security, operates across the UK, Italy and Germany. The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team delivers secure user provisioning and governance for Sky Group.

As IAM Platform Manager you will own and manage the One Identity Manager (OIM) platform, ensuring its stability, scalability and alignment with Sky’s IAM strategy. Reporting to the Head of IAM, you will lead the platform roadmap, oversee upgrades and feature adoption, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and internal teams to optimise identity lifecycle processes (Joiners, Movers, Leavers) and deliver a best‑in‑class IAM experience.

This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, platform governance, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement.

Technical Expertise

• Proven experience managing One Identity Manager or a comparable enterprise IAM platform.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, RBAC and access governance.
• Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, connectors) and directory services (AD, LDAP).

Leadership & Communication

• Ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.

Delivery & Governance

• Experience defining and implementing platform governance frameworks.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Desirable skills and experience

• Knowledge of  or scripting for OIM customization.
• Experience in large‑scale, multi‑geography environments.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOX) and audit processes.

We use a hybrid working model. For this role, a minimum of two days per week in the office is required.

Livingston – Sky Watermark is the central site for Livingston, located between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The campus offers vibrant office spaces, chill‑out areas, a canteen, onsite parking, and a shuttle bus to the nearest train station.

Brick Lane – Located in the heart of London’s East End. The site is close to tube stations Aldgate East and Liverpool Street and surrounded by cafes, shops and street food.

Osterley – Our Sky Group headquarters features state‑of‑the‑art technology, subsidised restaurants and cafés, a gym, a cinema, a car wash and a beauty salon. The campus is within walking distance of Syon Lane train station and is served by free shuttle buses from several stations. Onsite parking is available.
