We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join an IT Infrastructure team, supporting enterprise networking, server, storage and security environments.
Working alongside other technical analysts, you'll monitor and maintain critical infrastructure, support technical projects, and contribute to continuous improvements across networking, infrastructure and information security.
Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you'll play an important role in maintaining service availability, resolving technical issues, supporting change requests and ensuring the resilience of the organisation's IT estate.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure incidents.
- Monitor server, network and storage performance to prevent system downtime.
- Support patch management and business continuity testing.
- Provision and configure physical and virtual servers.
- Build and configure server and network hardware.
- Triage alerts from monitoring platforms.
- Support infrastructure projects and service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset inventories and network diagrams.
- Ensure escalations are handled promptly and accurately.
- Follow established processes and maintain accurate records of all technical activity.
- Commercial experience working across infrastructure, networking, server & storage or IT security environments.
- Strong experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
- Good understanding of networking concepts and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Exposure to virtualisation / hypervisor technologies.
- Ability to contribute technical expertise to projects and service enhancements.
- Experience working within structured IT service management processes.
- Strong logical and methodical approach, particularly under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Relevant IT qualifications, certifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong focus on security, quality and operational best practice.
- Hybrid working - 1 day per week onsite in Radstock or Livingston
