Payroll Manager
📍 Uxbridge | 5 Days Office-Based

Location:

Uxbridge
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Contract:

Full-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern:
Onsite (Parking Available)

💡 The Role

A standalone Payroll Manager position leading a complex payroll function within an education-focused organisation. You will take full ownership of monthly payroll operations, managing intricate calculations including term-time only contracts, annualised salaries, and multiple pension schemes (including 15 LGPS schemes + NEST).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end monthly payroll via ADP
  • Administer term-time only & annualised salary calculations
  • Manage 15+ LGPS pension schemes plus NEST
  • Handle pensionable pay calculations, returns & year-end submissions
  • Ensure HMRC compliance (RTI, auto-enrolment, statutory payments)
  • Reconcile payroll to General Ledger
  • Manage starters, leavers & contractual changes
  • Act as primary contact for payroll & pension queries
  • Lead payroll audits & senior reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement & optimise ADP functionality
👤 The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven standalone Payroll Manager experience
  • Strong ADP (or similar system) expertise
  • Extensive LGPS pension administration experience (essential)
  • Experience managing multiple pension schemes
  • Strong knowledge of annualised hours & term-time contracts
  • Confident with payroll reconciliations & financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel & strong data accuracy skills
  • Comfortable managing complexity independently
