About the role

This is a limited‑term appointment of 12 months for a senior paediatric position. The role requires a Registered Children’s Nurse to lead shifts, deliver hands‑on care to children and young people, act as a key worker, coordinate care, manage the ward and support the team in the absence of the Senior Sister or Charge Nurse. The successful candidate will use their experience to lead and develop others while maintaining high standards of care, support and supervise staff and students, contribute to clinical audit and service improvement, and apply knowledge of safeguarding, professional accountability and evidence‑based practice.

Responsibilities

Benefits
  • Enjoy higher salaries compared to the UK, along with annual salary increases that extend beyond typical UK NHS pay scales.

  • Opportunities for professional development, including many courses funded up to Masters level.
  • Access to the Learning, Education and Development training facility, exclusively for Public Service employees, to support continuous professional development.
  • Free access to the Isle of Man Government Staff Welfare Service, offering professional counselling, emotional support and signposting on a range of issues.
