Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Come Join Us at Alva Medical Practice
Alva & Tullibody | NHS Forth Valley | Training Practice

Looking for an ANP role where you're genuinely supported and your expertise is valued?

At Alva Medical Practice, we're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Whether you're an established ANP looking for a fresh challenge or seeking a practice where you can further develop your skills and interests, we'd love to have a chat.

We're a friendly, well-established split-site practice serving around 13,400 patients across Alva and Tullibody, and we pride ourselves on being a place where people enjoy coming to work and staying for a proper catch‑up over coffee.

Why You'll Love It Here

You'll be joining a stable, supportive practice team consisting of 8 GP Partners and 1 Management Partner, alongside 4 Salaried GPs, a GP Retainer, and an experienced team of 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

Our ANPs play a central role in patient care and are highly valued members of the clinical team. You'll be joining a service where advanced practice is well established, supported, and given the autonomy to thrive.

We work collaboratively, laugh often, and genuinely look out for one another.

We believe excellent patient care is built on strong teamwork, shared workload, mutual respect, and the occasional well‑timed biscuit break. Our culture is genuinely collegiate and approachable, with a focus on delivering high‑quality, sustainable care while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

A Team That's Got Your Back

You won't be doing this alone. Our experienced multidisciplinary team includes:

  • 4 Practice-employed and PCIP Advanced Nurse Practitioners
  • 3 Skilled Practice Nurses
  • A dedicated Pharmacotherapy Team
  • 2 Mental Health Nurses
  • CTAC support for phlebotomy
  • 2 Advanced Practice Physiotherapists
  • Attached District Nursing and Health Visiting Teams

Plus, a fantastic admin and management team who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We're Big on Learning (and Teaching Too)

We're proud to be a Training Practice, supporting:

  • GP Specialist Trainees
  • FY2 Doctors
  • Practice Manager Trainees
  • 5th Year Medical Students

There is a real buzz about learning here. Whether you're interested in teaching, mentoring, supporting ANP trainees, or continuing your own professional development, you'll be encouraged to grow.
