Embedded Software Engineer - Motor Controls

Position: Embedded Software Engineer - Motor Controls (Permanent)
An established engineering organisation is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer – Motor Control to join their R&D team, developing advanced control systems used in demanding real-world applications.

You’ll work on real-time embedded software focused on motor-control algorithms, precision movement and system safety, collaborating closely with hardware and systems engineers to deliver high-reliability products.

Key responsibilities:

* Developing embedded software for real-time motor-control systems

* Implementing and tuning control algorithms for hydraulic and Sepex motors

* Integrating software with bespoke electronic hardware

* Supporting software validation, testing and compliance activities

Key skills/experience:

* Strong Embedded C/C++ in commercial environments

* Motor-control development (PWM, closed-loop control, torque/speed control)

* Experience with hydraulic or Sepex motor systems

* Microcontrollers, RTOS and real-time systems

* CAN bus / serial communications

* Understanding of safety-critical development (ISOIEC
