Location: Livingston, Alabama
The Position: The University of West Alabama (UWA) invites applications for the position of Registrar. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to a central academic office that safeguards student records and supports key processes for UWA’s campus and online learners while guiding modernization efforts, enhancing service delivery, and contributing to institutional effectiveness across Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Enrollment Management.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity and security of academic records.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and external regulations.
- Oversee course scheduling, registration, degree certification, graduation, and Veterans Affairs education benefits.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative units to promote student success and institutional effectiveness.
- Lead modernization initiatives and improve service delivery.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Experience in academic administration, preferably as a registrar or in a related role.
- Knowledge of student information systems, accreditation standards, and higher‑education regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and implement process improvements.
- Commitment to a student‑centered service ethic.
