Apply for the Substitute Bus Driver position with the Alabama State Department of Education.
OverviewThe role involves daily transportation of students and ensuring safe and on-time travel during the school year. The successful candidate will report to Keith Benn, Interim Transportation Supervisor and participate in the Bus Driver Safety Institute.
Responsibilities- Report to the Interim Transportation Supervisor.
- Provide transportation for up to 187 duty days.
- Participate in the Bus Driver Safety Institute and maintain the driver safety schedule.
- Pass DOT mandated physical exam and meet health and age requirements.
- Valid Alabama Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- No record of any DUI convictions.
- Must be able to pass DOT mandated physical exam.
- Health and age requirements as required by the Board.
- Participation in the Bus Driver Safety Institute.
