Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team as a vital member of the operations team. This position is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all instruments, control systems and electrical equipment in the plant.
We are a collaborative and hardworking plant that solves tough problems and is looking for a motivated individual who enjoys working on a variety of tasks daily.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial control systems and related devices including PLC, HMI, distributed control systems, servos and drives.
- Installs, examines, replaces or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber‑optic and coaxial cable assemblies and other electrical components.
- Performs preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Performs and documents maintenance, installation, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic instruments and systems.
- Inspects and repairs transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems and works with electrical systems.
- Provides proper installation and diagnosis of AC/DC motors and controls, including across‑the‑line, soft starters and VFDs.
- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus plant wide.
- Degree from an accredited Industrial Electrical, Instrument or Technician program and a minimum of 4 years work electrical experience or Journeyman Card Electrician status performing instrumentation and electrical duties in a manufacturing, industrial environment.
- Thorough understanding in 3‑phase power and its distribution.
- Thorough understanding of 120
VAC circuits and pneumatic controls with the ability to repair. - Able to troubleshoot and repair relay circuits.
- Clear understanding of the N.E.C (National Electric Code).
- Able to layout and bend conduit accurately to N.E.C specifications.
- Able to do basic load calculations.
- Complete tasks such as installation of motors, switches, panel switches, fuse boxes, lighting fixtures and controls, testing electrical & power circuits and any other electrical devices.
- Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuse and related components.
- Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, panel switches, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating, power circuits and other electrical devices.
- Work safely using PPE and LOTO (lock‑out tag‑out).
- Trained in ARC flash safety and risk avoidance.
- Able to read, understand and troubleshoot using electrical schematics and ladder logic.
- Flexibility and willingness to be available for off‑shift call‑ins and repairs in a 24/7 facility.

The hourly wage for this position is $42.72. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
