Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU-Based Float Pool – New Jersey

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week;
Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday);
Winter holiday coverage required (must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

• NICU-based float pool position with rotation to PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery based on skill set and census
• 56-bed Level III NICU serving as a Regional Perinatal Center caring for over 1,200 premature and critically ill newborns annually
• 597-bed teaching hospital with major academic affiliation providing comprehensive medical and surgical care
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout facility
• Patient ratios typically 1:2 based on acuity and staffing
• First-time travelers and local candidates welcome at competitive rates

• Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 1.5 years of documented NICU Level III and PICU experience in employment history
• EPIC charting system experience required
• At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Clinical skills must include: A-line management, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, UAC/UVC, IV vasopressors, Steroids, Surfactants, Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management
• Ability and willingness to float between NICU Level III, Newborn Nursery, PICU, and Pediatrics without exception
