Job OverviewSeeking a meticulous and efficient Administrative Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will provide invaluable administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the department.
Qualifications Required:- High school graduate with relevant experience.
- Ability to perform and coordinate a variety of detailed and complex duties.
- Interpersonal skills to handle multiple telephone lines, and to interact daily with patients, physicians, visitors, other departments and members of the healthcare team in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Day Shift- 8:00am- 4:00pm and/or 9:00am-5:00pm
- Flexible / As needed
- Per Diem - (Scheduled to work based on department needs.)
- Responsible for scheduling meetings & appointments.
- Gathers information, provides information and reports as requested.
- Maintains an open channel of communication with referring physicians, office staff, patients/families.
- Performs secretarial and clerical functions for the Cath Lab administrative team.
- Schedules procedures for the Cath Lab including noninvasive, Cath, EP Vascular and neuro cases.
- Assumes responsibility for data entry, statistics, typing, photocopying, and filing.
- Oversees maintenance, ordering of office supplies and inventory.
- Triages all departmental telephone calls; assists callers with report information, patient status, etc.
