Director, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) in Livingston, NJ, is seeking an experienced pediatric intensivist to serve as Director for the 10‑bed PICU. The role requires managing clinical operations, developing academic programs, and collaborating with system‑wide critical care leaders.
Responsibilities- Lead and evolve the CBMC PICU clinical and academic programs.
- Partner with the RWJBarnabas Health System Medical Director of Pediatric Critical Care to align service system‑wide objectives.
- Mentor faculty, residents, and fellows, fostering an environment of education and mentorship.
- Engage in quality improvement, research, and global health initiatives as part of the PBMC PICU collaborative.
- Board certified in pediatric critical care.
- Eligible for New Jersey license or licensed.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, including education and mentorship of all members of the healthcare team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong internal locus of control.
- Experience managing complex pediatric cases, interacting with hospital administration, and mentoring new faculty.
The anticipated salary range is $283,000 to $400,000 per year, commensurate with experience and achievements.
