WhatYou’ll Do
The Accounting Manager – M&A will report directly to the Financial Close and Reporting Senior Manager and will be responsible for performing a variety of assignments relating to the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close. The Accounting Manager – M&A will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining compliance with internal policies, US GAAP, and Sarbanes‑Oxley (“SOX”) control requirements.
AboutThe Role
- Lead the global month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial close process for the acquired entity and prepare period‑end upload to parent ERP, ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
- Full ownership of all balance sheet reconciliations and supporting deliverables.
- Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly recorded, eliminated, and reconciled.
- Partner with business stakeholders for cash management and funding.
- Design process streams, manage issues and status in support of the overall integrations working closely with workstream leaders across various functions.
- Manage calculation and review of all expense allocations.
- Design, implement and perform applicable SOX controls.
- Manage accounting for international subsidiaries and supervise work of local service providers.
- Develop and implement AI tools to streamline various financial operations.
- Variance and forecast analysis for acquired entities, ensuring that all required periods are compared and that detailed explanations for the fluxes that meet internal thresholds are provided by agreed‑upon deadlines, including following up as necessary for any late items.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in processes or systems, taking initiative and ownership to implement solutions.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure strong communication across the accounting team and other departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification (or working towards) preferred.
- 7+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, with at least 2 years from a Big 4 public accounting firm.
- Has led the month‑end close process at a mid‑to‑large‑sized public company.
- Has managed direct reports, providing guidance, career development, coaching, and support.
- Thoroughly understands the requirements of well‑documented SOX‑compliant work papers.
- Strong systems and operational accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Net Suite and Flo Qast (or other similar) experience is preferred.
