Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our Dermatology team! You will perform clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be reliable. Ideal candidate will be willing to grow with our busy practice and have familiarity with EMR (EMA preferred). Must have a team player mentality.

Experience a plus, but willing to train the right candidate!

Our practice provides a friendly working environment with nice physicians who truly appreciate their staff. We do have two locations:
Hackettstown and Livingston.

Shift includes one evening per week and one Saturday per month.

• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Prepare exam rooms for patients
• Clean exam rooms following patient visit
• Review patients to obtain their medical history
• Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
• Draw blood, remove sutures, change dressings
• Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
• Properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Assist physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields is recommended
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• EMR experience is preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA), RMA, CCMA are preferred
