About the Opportunity
Oakleaf Partnership is supporting a growing, well-established professional services firm in the search for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter who enjoys operating with autonomy while gaining exposure to HR Generalist responsibilities.
The role partners closely with the HR Manager and firm leadership, playing a key role in shaping recruiting strategy, building processes, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience across both professional and staff hiring.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, thinking strategically about talent, and expanding their HR skill set beyond pure recruitment.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition
Manage full-cycle recruiting for professional and staff roles
Partner with senior leaders to understand hiring needs and develop proactive recruiting strategies
Source candidates via Linked In, professional networks, and external agencies
Build and manage relationships with recruiting agencies
Screen, interview, and coordinate interview processes with hiring managers
Guide stakeholders through hiring decisions and best practices
Manage offer processes, including compensation discussions and coordination with HR
Track recruiting metrics to support planning and decision-making
Support the implementation and ongoing development of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Create recruiting workflows, templates, and reporting tools
Develop and refine job descriptions aligned with business growth
Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs
Support outreach initiatives (e.g., law schools, professional programs)
Ensure a positive candidate experience from first contact through onboarding
Support the HR Manager on employee-facing HR initiatives as needed
Act as a point of contact for employees across the firm
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and HR projects
Gain hands-on exposure to HR operations, policies, and compliance
3- 5 years of recruiting experience, ideally within professional services or legal environments
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple searches
Strong sourcing capability using Linked In and external networks
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and hiring managers
Enjoys building processes and infrastructure from scratch
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Interested in expanding into HR Generalist responsibilities over time
