Director, Systems Management – ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers)

ASME is seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Systems Management to lead the transformation and ongoing management of our Conformity Assessment (CA) Connect and Codes & Standards (CS) Connect platforms. This role is pivotal in driving digital innovation and operational excellence within the Standards and Engineering Services (SES) group.
As ASME transitions to the Salesforce ecosystem, you will serve as the product owner and IT business liaison, ensuring our systems deliver value aligned with organizational goals. You’ll collaborate across departments, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and champion user‑centric solutions that enhance efficiency and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Product Ownership:
Lead the CA Connect platform (Salesforce‑based) as primary product owner; manage product backlog, feature requests, and sprint planning; collaborate with technical teams to design scalable, secure solutions. - Systems Management & Governance:
Oversee daily operations of SES electronic tools; ensure data integrity, security, and system availability; develop dashboards and metrics using Salesforce Reports and CRM Analytics. - Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Align Salesforce functionality with business needs across SES; coordinate enhancements with IT, vendors, and business units; provide training and support to users and volunteers. - Strategic Planning & Budgeting:
Manage platform budgets, vendor contracts, and development costs; support leadership in defining Salesforce roadmap and digital strategy. - Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Partner with QA teams for UAT and deployment planning; ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies; mitigate risks related to architecture, data migration, and integrations.
- Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required;
Master’s degree preferred; 10+ years in systems/product management or business systems analysis; minimum 3+ years of hands‑on Salesforce experience. - Technical
Experience:
Proven experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud; strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, APIs, Mule Soft, REST, ETL; proficiency in Agile Scrum, JIRA, and requirements traceability. - Certifications (Preferred):
Salesforce Administrator (ADM‑201);
Platform App Builder;
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). - Core Competencies:
Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

Annual base salary may vary based on geographic location. The New York metro salary range for this position is estimated to be between $145,000 – $155,000 per year.
