ScopeThe Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Automation will support the operation of various electro‑mechanical production machinery, equipment and tooling. Automation Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems along with Automation Engineers. The Automation technician will be responsible for completing changeovers, adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance requirements. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Automation will follow directions from supervisors, schematics, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, method sheets, and SOPs to troubleshoot malfunctions and assist in the maintenance and safety requirements of the production equipment.
The Manufacturing Engineer
- Automation will work in coordination with a broader team to develop machine user requirements, Statements of work for vendors, validation documents and execution of machine build and validation for new equipment.
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Automation will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our electro‑mechanical equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics principles, programming, running machines as well as the ability to perform electro/mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Automation must be detail‑oriented, analytical, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Must relate machine automation with Genomic principles and lab techniques for lab processes and chemistry.
