Seeking Physician Assistant for busy Urology practice. Experience is a plus. Open to new grad PA's.

• Full time
• 40 hours
• Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm with flexibility to work shifts between 7:30 am to 6:00 pm based on patient care needs and travel to office locations in Livingston, Stirling, and procedure locations in Essex County.

• Support the physician by providing coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring orthopedic care in both the operating and office environment.
• Assists physician during office hours including preoperative and postoperative instructions.
• Provides dictation support and documentation of patient encounters and letters of Medical Necessity.
• Prepares discharge letters and make post‑op calls to referring physicians.
• Reviews charts preoperatively and documents any pertinent information.
• Provides coverage with residents, fellows and other advanced practitioners covering provider on‑call schedules.
• Liaisons between physician and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care.
• Performs assessment and reassessment of the patient according to applicable department standards and identified tools.
• Assists physician during hospital rounds with post‑op patients and with research as needed.
• Participates in and contributes to orthopedic educational activities for appropriate internal and external parties.
