Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Livingston, NJ, Full-Time, 12.5 Hr. Shift, Day (6:30A-7:30P)

Registered Nurse (RN), 12.5‑Hour Shift | Livingston, NJ | Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center – Emergency Department (Day Shift 6:30 AM–7:30 PM) | Pay Range: $47.85–$76.27 per hour.

Job Overview

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center’s Emergency Department seeks a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care in a patient‑centered environment. The department features dedicated service areas for Triage, Pediatric Care, Critical Care, Adult Medical/Surgical and Urgent Care.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (Baccalaureate or Associate Degree required)
  • Current, active New Jersey RN licence
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS/APLS/ENPC courses; BLS required upon hire, ACLS within 6 months, PALS/APLS/ENPC within 1 year
  • IV certification from an approved facility within 90 days of hire
  • Strong critical‑thinking and assessment skills
  • Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
Certifications and Licenses Required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements
  • Day shift, 6:30 AM–7:30 PM, 37.5 hours per week, 12.5‑hour shifts
  • Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
Essential Functions
  • Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure safety, apply evidence‑based practice, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Identify and report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
  • Know the patient population served and adjust care accordingly.
  • Supervise, delegate, and collaborate with other patient‑care providers.
  • Set and evaluate priorities, implement interventions, and achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Participate in patient teaching, discharge planning, and unit performance‑improvement activities.
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver individualized, interdisciplinary patient care.
