American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment at an academic teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and NJ or compact RN licensure.

• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:30-07:30)
• Labor & Delivery Maternal Child Pavilion with Antepartum, HRAP, LDRP, Mother/Baby, and Level I Nursery units
• Low and high-risk maternal-fetal patient population with 200-300+ births per month
• Level III NICU available for newborns requiring advanced care
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within skillset across Antepartum, L&D, L&D PACU, and Postpartum units
• Hospital-provided scrubs

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required (pending state license accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Antepartum nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Clinical skills in fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, C-section circulating/scrubbing/recovery, amnioinfusion, and cervical cerclage
• Experience managing maternal complications including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP, and substance abuse
• Newborn care skills including APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, and phototherapy
• Postpartum care skills including lactation support, fundus/lochia assessment, and couplet care
• Cardiac skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and Rapid Response/Code team participation

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum units supporting family-centered bonding including the 'Golden Hour' following delivery
• Located at a 597-bed academic teaching hospital, one of the largest in the state, part of the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey
• Winter holiday coverage required for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), based on unit needs
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First-time travelers welcome to apply

• Previous RWJBarnabas Health staff must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before eligibility for travel assignments
