I. Position Objective

Contribute to the development and implementation of the Polyolefins Business Unit-Business Development plan, with focus on utilizing organizational resources in marketing, technology and manufacturing. In alignment with Corporate Strategy and Polyolefins Division Focus Objective; assist in the development of business/increase market share, maximize sales opportunities.

II. Major Areas of Accountability

LEAD GENERATION

  • Research and identify potential customers in target industries, applications, or geographic regions.
  • Initiate and build a pipeline of prospective customers; qualify leads and prepare them for sales engagement.
  • Qualify leads and schedule introductory presentations.
  • Initiate sampling and qualification process for prospective customers.
ONBOARDING NEW CUSTOMERS
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technology, product management, manufacturing) to ensure alignment on customer outreach and lead follow-up.
  • Support sales team by preparing follow-up communications and coordinating next steps with leads.
  • Ensure timely responses to prospect inquiries and provide administrative support for proposals, quotes, and product information.
  • Help prepare for sales presentations, customer visits, and internal strategy sessions.
  • Support trade show planning, execution, and post-event follow-ups to generate and nurture leads.
MARKET RESEARCH & PROMOTIONAL COORDINATION
  • Assist in market and customer analysis to identify new product or market opportunities.
  • Coordinate trade show logistics, pre-event outreach, and post-event follow-ups.
PRODUCT SUPPORT & INTRODUCTION
  • Collect customer feedback and relay insights to the product team to support product positioning and feature improvements.
  • Support the launch of new products with communication materials and customer introductions.
  • Ensure product documentation is current and accessible to internal and external stakeholders.
III. Qualifications

  • Education (Minimal Education Needed)
B.A. or B.S. preferred. When previous related experience and technical skills meet minimal requirements and are both exceeded, a four-year degree is not required.
* Previous Related Experience

One to five years of business development, direct sales/marketing experience to targeted and end bases in the Polyolefins industry [PP, PE-user customer and/or both] preferred. Experience supporting international-level business and trade show coordination. Demonstrated functional achievements and progressive increases in responsibility.
* Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job

Excellent English verbal and writing skills. Presentation and facilitation skills. Must have basic computer skills, the ability to use Microsoft Office, and familiarity with business development and/or the sales process. Knowledge and familiarity with products, applications, production and sales process, and industry technology applications preferred.
* Other Certification/Training to Gain Function-Related Business Knowledge

Continuous education in leading-edge marketing and polyolefins product development sales trends. Membership in professional associations is a plus. Direct involvement in market-focused organizations (Examples: ACC, TAPPI, IOPP, PPFA, and PPI).
* Other Requirements (Physical/Mental Demand, Schedule/Hours, Travel)

Frequent travel; irregular schedule. Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required. Must perform all duties to the same standards while traveling as would be expected in the office.
