Essential Functions:

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene elimination, nutrition and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Facility Requirements:

• Shifts will be M-F 6:45am-3:15pm, Call is required thru the week and weekend coverage
• Must have TN RN or multi-state RN license
• Must have ACLS, BLS & PALS certification (Must be through the American Heart Association)
• Must have knowledge of General surgery, orthopedic including total joints, OB, GYN and Endoscopy
• OR also covers C-Sections. Circulators also do the recovery of general surgery patients who had an ETT as needed prior going back to the floor or Same Day Surgery. No Robot.
• Must 2 years recent have OR RN experience
