Overview
Ferrellgas knows dedicated superior service starts with supported employees. Blue Rhino is looking for a Full Time Production Specialist to join our team. Our Production Specialist plays a key role in our production process, operating in a team-based environment to ensure quality and safety while refilling, re‑valving, re‑qualifying, refurbishing, packaging, and storing propane cylinders. Every cylinder is cleaned, leak‑tested, inspected, and then delivered to tens of thousands of convenience stores nationwide.
- Labor intensive
- Requires frequent lifting and stacking of 40lb cylinders
- Outdoor work environment with varying temperature conditions; previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing preferred
- Monday – Thursday, most Fridays and some Saturdays during peak season
- Shift times: _____am – ____pm; overtime opportunities during spring and fall months
- Starting at $_____; rate increases over time as proficiency improves (Tier Level 2 & Senior Level)

- Perform washer functions, including placing cylinders on conveyor belt, sorting, removing sleeves, and peeling labels.
- Dispatch cylinders to paint, fill, or rework stations.
- Complete paint line operations, including loading cylinders into tank hangar, applying paint bag applicator, and unloading tank hangar.
- Operate shot blast, tare weight entry station, capper (data code label), and stacker (palletizing).
- Manually check for leaks, weight issues, or sleeve malfunctions.
- Perform cylinder refurb operations based on workstation.
- Stack finished product.
- Conduct quality assurance checks.
- Possess integrity and a good work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to be punctual, dependable, and reliable.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to understand basic technical instructions, both written and verbal.
- Must be a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
