We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team! We are an eCommerce business that sells automotive tools & equipment and other items on our website, , as well as various online marketplaces. Knowledge of tools is not required. We are a small business with less than 60 employees. This is an in-person position in Livonia, MI.

• Create replenishment purchase orders for current selling items
• Help find new opportunities of products to sell
• Talk and meet with suppliers, negotiate better pricing, terms and overall programs
• Manage pricing and data for your vendors in our system
• Use excel and PDF reports to purchase and manage data
• Negotiate deals and extended payment terms with vendors
• Learn about brands and categories that you are responsible for
• Make contact with new vendors that fit well with our business
• Assist in managing inventory; overstock returns, promotional buys, defects, customer service escalations

• Experience being a buyer at other companies
• Familiarity with excel, running basic formulas
• Experience using AI to complete tasks more efficiently
• Ability to stay organized
• E-Commerce basic knowledge, understanding of online retail
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, attention to detail
• Ability to talk and build relationships with vendors
