Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Sociology or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years college-level teaching experience.
Physical and Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; respond effectively to inquiries; write speeches and articles; make persuasive presentations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Reasoning Ability: Apply logical and scientific principles; handle abstract and concrete variables; interpret formulas, graphs, and scientific equations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Regularly stand, handle, talk, hear; occasionally reach, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift up to 10 lbs. or rarely 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work may involve near moving mechanical parts, laboratory environment, and chemicals, with moderate noise levels.
Salary: Per Faculty Contract
Work Hours: As needed; applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
