Job Summary
The program assistant will work with the Instruction Administrator to collect and maintain accurate enrollment and certification data for all ARC students and teachers. Position may be up to 10 hours/week.
Job Duties
Program Assistant will support the ARC program in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Program data collection
  • Monitoring student progress though program
  • Creating semester enrollment data reports
  • Populating Live Text
  • Maintaining accurate enrollment data
  • Interviewing ARC applicants
  • Other tasks, as needed
NOTE :
Program Assistants may be requested to participate one or two evening events meeting each semester.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in related field.
  • Experience working with data collection and reporting.
  • Proficient in word, excel, and other software.
  • Able to use Google Docs and other relevant software.
  • Able to work independently and accurately.
  • Able to work on campus one or two days a week, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Possess teacher certification.
  • Experience in a teacher education program.

Physical Requirements
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of trustees.

Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
