Cardiac Monitor Technician (Livonia Campus)
Location: Livonia, MI
Job OverviewThe Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT) provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. The CMT monitors, recognizes, and reports arrhythmias to the RN caring for the patient, maintains telemetry records, and ensures proper functioning of the telemetry system. The CMT also performs related duties in the central monitoring station and on patient care units.
Responsibilities- Observe and interpret cardiac rhythms continuously.
- Identify and report arrhythmias and other cardiac events to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate telemetry records and documentation.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of telemetry equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- ECG certification preferred; knowledge of ECG/Telemetry required.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias.
- Previous monitor tech experience in a hospital preferred.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
12‑Hour Day Shift
