The Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT) provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. The CMT monitors, recognizes, and reports cardiac arrhythmias to the registered nurse caring for the patient. The CMT prepares and maintains telemetry records and ensures a functioning telemetry system. In addition, the CMT performs various other duties related to patient cardiac monitoring and equipment maintenance, both in the central monitoring station and on patient care units.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ECG certification preferred. Knowledge of ECG/Telemetry required.
• Must be able to interpret dysrhythmias.
• Previous Monitor Tech experience in a hospital preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent customer service experience required.
