Job Title: Associate Pharmacy Clerk
Location: Livonia, MI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Contract Type: Contract (Potential Contract-to-Hire)
Hourly Bill Rate: $16.00–$18.00
The Associate Pharmacy Clerk supports daily pharmacy operations by organizing medication orders, preparing delivery materials, scanning inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation for outgoing medication shipments. This role is essential to maintaining workflow efficiency and timely medication delivery to long-term care facilities.
Responsibilities- Sort final-reviewed medication baskets and carts by facility unit, location, and scheduled delivery time.
- Scan all medications pending delivery for tracking and verification.
- Prepare delivery manifests, packing slips, and required documentation (MCRs, TSP notices, etc.).
- Retrieve final-reviewed medication carts from pharmacist stations, including STAT orders.
- Prepare delivery totes and apply correct labels/stickers at the start of each shift.
- Check racks and bins prior to each departure to ensure no medications are missing.
- Scan completed manifests into the system for delivery confirmation.
- Assist the pharmacy floor with additional tasks during slower periods.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to departmental standards for safety, attendance, and dress code.
- Work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work at a steady, moderate pace.
- Strong English reading and communication skills.
- 0–6 months of work experience.
- Previous pharmacy experience.
- Prior warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
- Ability to sit or stand for 7–10 hours as needed.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for handling office and scanning equipment.
- Ability to read fine print and distinguish colors; must be able to adjust focus.
- Ability to hear and respond to normal voice communication.
- Work environment includes standard pharmacy and warehouse conditions.
