Radiology Technologist Contingent

Overview

Radiology Technologist Contingent role at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures. Produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and operate x-ray equipment to obtain radiographs of designated body portions.
• Produce diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation.
• Document patient history and prepare documentation of all procedures/reports completed; report to the radiologist.
• Maintain courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.

• High school diploma or equivalent; satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS required.
• Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures.
