Shift: Rotating Shift
- Coordinate daily activities of assigned staff to ensure validity of test results.
- Perform specialized and innovative testing and analyses in the Blood Bank Department.
- Serve as a technical resource providing guidance and direction to staff.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
- Minimum 4 to 5 years progressively responsible experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Blood Bank/Transfusion Services; 1-2 years leadership preferred.
- High level of organization, attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to interact with laboratory personnel, patients and medical professionals.
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary for the job including personal computers, laboratory information system, printers, faxes and telephones; must know payroll system and complete payroll requirements daily.
