We are looking to add an MRI Technologist to our Metro Detroit area locations. This is a contingent position requiring 12‑hour shifts at our various sites across Metro Detroit. Contingent employees at HCS Group are eligible to transition to full-time employment when the opportunity arises. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
To be a successful MRI Technologist, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be sensitive to patient needs. We pride ourselves on treating patients as family. You should show attention to detail and be able to work in a team.
MRI Technologist Responsibilities- Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
- Verifying orders.
- Positioning patients and verifying correct body part.
- Insert and remove IVs and catheters for the MRI procedure.
- Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patient records.
- Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
- Ensuring clear images for physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
- Daily QA.
- Graduate of an accredited MRI program or hold an associate degree in applied science (radiography).
- Proven experience with MRI equipment and patient care.
- ARRT or ARMRIT registration.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
