The 304‑bed Trinity Health Livonia facility offers a 24‑hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics and women's health. Unit Description19‑bed Progressive Care Unit specializes in caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), chest pain, and atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (RVR). The telemetry‑equipped unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and can manage cardiac drips and stable ventilator patients. Nurses are expected to be highly skilled in cardiac care, critical thinking, and delivering exceptional treatment in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegating patient activities to other health‑care team members via therapeutic use of self, applying the nursing process, and creating a supportive environment.
Requirements- Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. - BSN degree preferred or agreement to obtain a BSN within five years.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous medical‑surgical experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills required.
