Automotive Dyna Test Technician

We are the world’s top supplier of automotive test facilities, providing a full range of services to commercial automotive industry customers. Customers include not only the world’s major vehicle providers and other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), but also clients from the international motor sports community. We are hiring a Dyna Test Technician to work at the Axle and Transmission Development lab in Livonia, MI.

This is a position for those with some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby.

• High School Diploma
• Computer experience (MS suite; word, excel, power point, etc)
• Basic hand tool usage
• Basic understanding of engine and transmission functions

• Associate in Automotive Technology or related field of study
• Engine or transmission related testing
• Basic understanding of instrumentation
• Knowledge of and/or experience with engine, transmission, axle and exhaust components and their functions.

• Lifting:
  Up to 50 lbs, 50%
• Climbing: 25%
• Crawling: 25%
• Special clothing/equipment (wearing):
  Safety glasses, slip resistant hardened toe shoes, gloves, long pants, short sleeve shirts, welding gear (masks, gloves, jacket) hearing protection on sites
• Unusual physical requirements:
  Sitting (25%), Standing (75%), Bending (50%), Stooping (25%)

  Day shift but shift assignment is subject to change so candidate must be flexible with available work hours. Training will be on day shift.

• Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.

• Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
• Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.
