Community Support​/Supported Employment Specialist; Livonia

Job Description

This position supports individuals to obtain and maintain employment as well as achieve meaningful active participation in a variety of community settings.

• Assess consumers' needs and desires related to community activities and employment.
• Support, assist, and teach individuals needed skills such as job interview skills, interpersonal skills, and resume creation.
• Develop a positive professional relationship with individuals' employers and acquire a detailed understanding of the requirements of the individuals' job.

Alternative Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and/or autism in their homes, jobs, and communities throughout the state of Michigan. We are seeking compassionate people to provide care and support in a vocational program setting. Full and Part-time positions are currently available in the Livonia, MI area.

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, possess a valid Michigan Driver License, and have excellent moral character.

Pay: $16.40 per hour
