About the SchoolYsgol Bro Dinefwr is a Bilingual category (T3) secondary school situated on the banks of the River Tywi close to Llandeilo. The school serves 1,089 pupils from Year 7‑13 and runs a specialist Autism unit for 42 pupils. The campus boasts modern facilities and an outdoor education centre that includes garden, polytunnels, a pond and animal enclosures. Our focus is on creating an inclusive, achievement‑driven culture that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Science teacher you will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles. You will:
- Use innovative and interdisciplinary teaching methods, including an outdoor curriculum for Years 7‑9;
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students master scientific concepts and prepare for GCSE to A‑Level examinations;
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and develop new schemes of work;
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the department’s objectives and learning outcomes.

- Bachelor’s degree in science;
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS);
- Experience teaching Science at the secondary (GCSE) level;
- Enhanced DBS check with barred‑list clearance.
