We are working closely with a local authority in Powys to assist with the appointment of a Data Quality Assistant
, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay

£13.26- £17.15 per hour

Summary

The Data Quality Assistant (Pensions) supports the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) by ensuring pension records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations. The post holder will undertake a range of administrative and data quality activities, including matching and validating pension data received from employers, updating pension administration systems, and preparing cases for further processing by Pension Assistants and Pension Officers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Check pension applications relating to benefit payments, transfers, and aggregations to ensure all required documentation is complete before further processing.
  • Issue appropriate pension information and documentation within statutory disclosure timescales.
  • Manipulate and transfer data accurately between payroll, HR, and pension administration systems.
  • Undertake additional duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the role as directed by management.
Qualifications
  • Five GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
Essentials
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience transferring and reconciling data between different systems.
  • Experience using pension administration software, such as Altair Pensions System or equivalent.
  • Experience using payroll and HR systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Regulations.
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
