- 12 month contract
- £36,000 per year FTE. £21,600 for 3 days/wk 22.5 hours
- Based at The Dance Centre in Llandrindod Wells.
Impelo is entering an exciting new period from April 2026. We're reopening our studio space in Llandrindod Wells, building on our reputation for socially engaged and inventive approaches to dance and community from our rural base and introducing a new shared leadership and staff structure.
Made up of three interconnected and equally paid roles:
Strategic Lead, Producing Lead and Administrative Lead, together they balance the artistic health, day-to-day delivery, and financial wellbeing of the organisation.
Working collaboratively, this team ensures that Impelo's programmes are delivered with care, clarity and excellence - supporting artists, participants and partners, while building and maintaining strong systems, internal communication and organisational stability.
These roles will suit people who thrive on collaboration, coordination and creative problem-solving, and who value people-centred ways of working.
- Each role holds full responsibility and ownership for its domain
- Leadership is distributed, not diluted
- Parity in structure and pay is intentional - it reflects shared accountability, not hierarchy.
The Strategic Lead holds Impelo's big picture. It focuses on organisational direction, strategy, sustainability and external relationships with funders and partners, while nurturing the internal culture and leadership model.
The Strategic Lead works closely with the Producing Lead and Administrative Lead, acting as an anchor and ensuring that Impelo's artistic ambition, values and operational realities remain aligned.
This is a role for someone who can think long-term while remaining responsive, who is comfortable with shared leadership, and who believes deeply in artist-led, community-driven practice.
