Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate, professional and reliable Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals experiencing mental health conditions. The successful candidate will assess patients' mental health needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medication and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients' mental health care.
  • Monitor patients' mental and physical health and identify changes in condition.
  • Administer medication safely and monitor its effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
  • Provide emotional support and therapeutic care.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with patients.
  • Support patients with daily living activities and promote independence.
  • Manage challenging situations and respond appropriately to incidents.
  • Recognise and respond to risks, including safeguarding concerns.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists, social workers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in handovers, care reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and organisational policies.
  • Support patients with rehabilitation, recovery and discharge planning.
  • Maintain patients' dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Relevant mental health nursing qualification.
  • Previous experience in a mental health setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging and complex situations.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory DBS/Access NI check, where applicable.
  • Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
