Management Accountant

Michael Page are working with a well-established, growing UK business based in Llandudno. They are investing heavily in their finance function as part of a wider transformation programme focused on better data, stronger controls and more insight-led decision making. This is not just a month-end reporting role. It's an opportunity to combine solid management accounting with genuine process improvement and finance transformation.

As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the month-end process for multiple entities, ensuring high-quality reporting and robust balance sheet control. Alongside core accounting responsibilities, you'll play a key role in modernising reporting processes, improving data flows and enhancing automation across the finance function.

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Ownership of key balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting year‑end audit and statutory reporting
• Budgeting and reforecasting support
• Strengthening financial controls and improving processes
• Enhancing reporting through Power Query, Power Pivot and data modelling
• Developing clear, visually engaging dashboards and reports
• Standardising templates and automating repetitive tasks
• Supporting internal audits and control compliance
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business

A Successful Management Accountant Should Have

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or nearly qualified with strong experience
• Confident owning month‑end processes
• Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, Power Pivot and complex formulas - Ideal
• Experience building or improving dashboards, ideally using Power BI
• Naturally analytical and curious
• Motivated by continuous improvement and efficiency
• Strong communicator, able to challenge and influence positively
