Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Assistant on behalf of a leading supplier of accountancy and tax support solutions.
Due to continued growth, the firm has a superb opportunity available for a Senior Payroll Assistant to join the expanding team.
Hours:
Mon-Fri | 9am – 5pm – Office based
Salary: £27,500.00 – 35,000 per annum DOE.
Your duties will include; but not limited to:
* Processing, administering and managing of weekly/monthly payroll for multiple clients, including HMRC submissions
* Completing auto-enrolment assessments and calculating contributions, including pension submissions
* Processing starters/leavers and calculating statutory payments
* Processing and submitting monthly CIS Returns
* Liaising with HMRC and pension schemes as required, and other general payroll administration
* Dealing with client payroll queries
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in a similar role is essential
* Experience in Payroll Processing essential.
* CIPP qualification would be desirable
* Good understanding of payroll legislation and Auto Enrolment
* Ability to make manual payroll calculations
* NHS Pension scheme knowledge would be desirable
* Understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service and willing to go above and beyond to deliver
* Excellent numeracy skills, with a high level of attention to detail
* Strong team player, whilst able to work autonomously
* IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft 365, and ideally payroll software such as Sage & IRIS Staffology
